Andreas Østhagen
Andreas Østhagen is a researcher at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute (FNI) in Oslo, one of Norway’s leading research institutions specializing in Russia and the Arctic. He also holds positions as an advisor at the High North Center at Nord University in Bodø and as a senior advisor at The Arctic Institute in Washington, D.C. Østhagen holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia in Canada with a focus on maritime boundaries and conflicts. Andreas has previously worked at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies (IFS) in Oslo, at the North Norway European Office in Brussels, and at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in D.C. He holds a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics, which he earned in 2010.
