Simen Bakke
Simen Bakke has a broad background in security and preparedness, both from the Police and the Armed Forces. He is a senior information security adviser in the Police’s ICT services, and has, among other things, previously been a preparedness adviser in the Red Cross. Bakke also has a master’s degree in risk management and safety management from the University of Stavanger. His field of interest is how security can be balanced against freedom and other central civil rights in a good way in democratic societies, including the use of different police methods; how economics and politics influence the government’s approach to structured risk management; gray area issues; influence operations and disinformation. Bakke is also active in the public debate on these topics and has written a number of articles.
