Terje Bruøygard

Terje Bruøygard is the commander of Brigade North. He has previously served as the head of the planning department at the Norwegian Armed Forces Operational Headquarters and worked as a military academic director at the United States Marine Corps Staff College in Virginia, USA. Before that, he was the commander of the Telemark Battalion. Bruøygard has also worked in the Ministry of Defence’s Department of Security Policy and has held various positions in the Army, both in the north and south, and has served in Afghanistan and Iraq. In terms of education, Bruøygard has completed the Non-Commissioned Officer School and the War School in the Armed Forces. He holds a master’s degree from the Marine Corps University in Quantico and completed the NATO Defense College this winter.
