Vebjørn Horsfjord

Vebjørn Horsfjord is the dean of the Faculty of Theology, Diaconia, and Leadership at VID Specialized University. He has extensive experience working with religious actors in conflict situations, researching interreligious relations, the relationship between religion and politics, as well as religion and human rights. Horsfjord holds a Ph.D. in international interreligious dialogue and has conducted research on the political role of the Russian Orthodox Church, both nationally and internationally. He has been involved in ecumenical and interreligious cooperation and served as the Secretary-General of the European Council of Religious Leaders from 2006 to 2010.
